A New Mantle of Authority is Being Released

When the Lord speaks, sometimes it can be very strange to hear. He will often speak to you through things you know and understand, but when you tell others about it, they might think it very strange. For instance, last night the Lord appeared to me in a dream as Captain Kirk from the Star Trek series from years ago. It was just like I was in the room with him. Kirk in the dream was more than a captain. He was a captain of captains. I came to understand that he represented the captain of the Lord’s army that appeared to Joshua in Joshua 5:13. He came to Joshua to instruct him with the strategy of marching around Jericho seven times in order to destroy the city. The Captain of the Lord’s army came to me with a gift. It was a small box like a jewelry box. Inside of it was another stripe for my military uniform. Apparently, I was being promoted from Commander to a Captain of a ship. There was another man there who was also was receiving a promotion. He was being promoted from Lieutenant to Commander. When he was putting the stripe on his lapel one of his other stripes was lost. He asked what the price would be so he could replace it. We found out that the Captain had paid an extremely large price for the pin. He the dream I heard that he had paid 7,000.00 talons for it. We knew that this was a lot of money in the dream and we knew that the Captain sacrificed to pay it, but he was filled with so much joy at giving it to us. It didn’t seem to bother him that he had to pay so much for our promotions. When I woke up from the dream, I was curious to know if talon was a currency that was featured in the Star Trek world, and sure enough it was. Apparently, it was one of the currencies of the Klingon Empire. For those not familiar with this, I am sorry. In the Star Trek world, the Earth is part of the Federation of Planets. In the 23rd century, one of the arch enemies of the Federation is the Klingons. To me, this is very interesting, given that the Captain chose to pay for our promotion with the currency of the enemy. He took what was of the enemy and gave it to us. The fact that he paid $7,000 is also very interesting. 7 x 1000 = 7000. The number 7 is linked to divine completion or rest, as in on the 7th day the Lord rested from his labours after he created the heavens and the earth. And the number 1,000 is about the ultimate glory of God being realised in the earth. Jesus shall return and reign for 1,000 years. So when I see these two numbers together I get a sense that God is about to do something significant in the earth. We can rest in the assurance that he has paid the cost and his plan is unfolding in the manner that he has ordained. Nothing will separate us from the love of Jesus. He is has made a way for us to succeed. By the shed blood of Jesus, we rule and reign in the earth with him (2 Timothy 2:12). We have authority because he has given us authority to trample on the heads of snakes and scorpions (Luke 10:19). He has given us power of darkness. We can heal the sick and cast out demons. We can raise the dead (Matthew 10:8). I declare that you shall walk in this authority in your life; this is a new season – you will walk in a way you have never done before. I get a sense that God is about to touch people’s lives who have been living a religious lifestyle, but have not yet walked in their authority and power. In the 1960’s and 1970’s, there was the Charismatic Renewal that took place in traditional churches (Catholic, Anglican, Lutheran etc.). The gifts of the Holy Spirit began to operate there in much the same way they had been operating in Pentecostal Churches from the turn of the twentieth century: when the fire came down at Azusa Street under William Seymour. I declare that we are going to see this again. Many tribes, tongues and nations shall be touched by the power of God. His spirit is going to move across the earth. Let’s pray for renewal. Let’s pray for new unity and fire to fall on the church. Let’s pray that many prodigals will turn to him and learn to walk in their God given authority in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost, and he still continues to touch people’s lives 2000 years later. He still finds willing vessels that receive the glory of God and then walk in it. I declare that you and your families will be touched in the same way. You will have sons and daughters like Peter and Paul rise up out of your own houses and they will bring in a harvest of souls worldwide. Father we ask you to make it so.
