The Eyes of Truth and Return of the Gods
Hebrews 4:15
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
There is a path away from temptation. I cannot say that I have always succeeded in walking it. When it comes to overcoming sin, I consider Jesus. He is the author and the finisher of our faith. John 16:33 says, “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Jesus’ life is a seed of the new humanity - a humanity filled with the presence of God invigorated to live according to the hegemony of scripture, filled with a grace to overcome every trial presented. We live in a perpetual state of grace which equals breakthrough and can be like Jesus sleeping in the boat during a storm.
Even when we fail, if we repent, then God can lift us up out of our mirey pits into the places He has in store for our lives. I have failed many times only to see His grace and mercy given to me to help me to the next place He has for me.
All that I write is from the place of the understanding of God that I have at this point in my life. I understand His grace but, in some ways, I am still bound to religion. I want to fly higher into His mercy and love. I want to understand the true freedom of what It means to be a Son of God.
As I have traveled the world I have walked in many Kingdoms where people think and live very differently than where I was born, I am presented with alternative states of imagination. There are ways we can learn from others as they can learn from us. America and the West have entered a pre-Christian society. As Christians we believe this isn’t the best for our countries. We need reformation, and if I have heard the Lord correctly, I believe we are coming into this in the next season.
This pre-Christian society is very hard for the Christian because if we are true to the scripture then what we see developing in our world is far from the precepts of what is written in our Holy book. We must ask ourselves how we can live in this time in a way that stands true to our beliefs. How can we live in this world in the orthodoxy of our faith and respect those that live completely different?
I don’t believe abortion is biblically sound. I remember when I was younger it was deemed alright to abort a child at a certain point in its development, usually before 9 weeks. Now we are ok as a society - it seems - to let a child born upon a doctor’s table to die if the mother decides she wants that life aborted.
When I was a boy, our teachers taught us the ten commandments and we prayed the Lord’s prayer in our morning classes. Today the ten commandments are considered hate speech and teachers now feel free to help children change their sex without their parents’ permission. Another words they consent to mutilating identity of a student.
I read somewhere yesterday that a person was arrested in New York state for allowing a child of 10 to be tattooed but counseling that same child to have their gender changed is ok.
Sexual identity in America and the West seems to usurp all other identity. It seems that the question that matters most to Americans today revolves around sex “Are you a girl, a boy or are you without a sex?” One moment a man is having sex with a man, and in the next he is having sex with a woman, and in the next, that same man, is trying to become a woman to have sex like a woman. I think we have it all wrong and for that I am considered a hateful person by the woke movement.
I say this with respect to those who believe differently than I do, but I do not want my children to live in the confusion that you have created. My prayer is for a new day. I don’t feel safe in this world, and I am thankful that I have God’s peace in my heart because I probably would not survive the culture wars that are raging in this time any other way. I do all I can to remain in God’s peace. I even surrender to the need to argue with these people.
This movement represents a new but old religion, and once again the false gods are going after our children. This is nothing other than paganism in a new form. This is Baal worship or the dance around the Asherah Poles, a form of worship to the ancient gods and goddesses of the land of Canaan who commanded the sacrifice of our children. We are no different now than in the times of old Egypt and Israel. We are still worshipping at the pagan alters sacrificing our children to the gods of the devil, surrendering our children at the alters of ourselves, trying to preserve our own lives by thwarting the lives of the next generation.
There is a temptation to become like these people, believing that by doing so, a peace will rise in the land. These people are not people of peace. If we surrender to this temptation to become like them then our humanity will be lost. We must allow ourselves to face persecution and deprivation rather than to surrender to this evil. God can preserve us. Our generation was born into an infirmity of thought and you and I can become a cure if we allow God to shine through us. What benefit is there if we gain the entire world but lose our own soul. We must be like Jesus and not live on bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
