The Ways of God's Love
The Way of God’s Love
God is good but his people are imperfect. If they are seeking the Lord, they can have a lot of sweetness. The same person that once was brutal can become kind and compassionate if they allow themselves to be filled with the presence of Jesus. The Presence of the Lord changes us from glory to glory. We become filled with the wine of the Lord.
Recently the Lord reminded me of a painting that I had done a few years ago that I named “The Angel of the Wines. “ I consider this a revival angel that releases different atmospheres at God’s compassion and love when God directs it to. Angels are ministering spirits sent to minister to those who will inherit salvation. What greater ministry can you receive than the love of God. In a dream I heard that this angel would be operating in the season that we are in, and people will be filled with a new wine to help them to live in God’s glory.
We need to be always filled with the Holy Spirit. There is never a time that we should not be seeking God in our lives. Having His peace and joy in us should be our greatest motivation. By living in the state of the bliss of Heaven we stay in perfect peace. His peace is greater than anything else that you could ever have. Those who are in the peace of God understand what I am saying. Their ambition becomes to remain in that peace.
I have been teaching the body of Christ much lately about remaining in the fruit of the spirit. Galatians 5:22-24 should be the sound that comes from the Christian spirit. If the Christian were a bird that had a song that it sung it would sound like this passage, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.“
In all that we do we should be labouring for this fruit in our lives. The grace of God is that by the Spirit of God when we hunger and thirst we shall be filled with His presence (Matthew 5:6), so, we need to stay in the place of seeking Him. Some people have tougher exteriors than others. Philippians 4:5 says, “Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.” Striving to be gentle vessels filled with the love and grace of God should be our ambition. I don’t do it perfectly, but when the times do come when it is hard for me to love, these become opportunities to grow in love.
In this life you will have plenty of opportunity to forgive and bless those who curse you and despitefully use you. There will be no lack to these opportunities. What you must consider is your reaction to these tests. You reaction will either propel you or sink you. You can overcome all things by the grace of Jesus working in you. We need to always pray for God’s grace in difficult times, especially in times when it would be easy to hate and slander. We need to practice forgiveness and praying will help us to do this. We can pray and ask Him to help us in our weakness to love those that are difficult to love.
1 Corinthians 13:1, “If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love I gain nothing.” I want to gain a fruitfulness that comes by love. There are some that will not love you, but you must learn to love them. They will be hardness in their hearts and they will be demanding but you have to seek God’s heart for them anyway.
I am a prophetic person and I have prophesied over many people. Some of them I have loved but some have been difficult to love. I don’t let my negative emotion stop me, but I ask God to help me to love even those that I find difficult to love. I have always asked God to show me His love for those I encounter because I do not want to be disqualified when I appear before him for not having a heart for the body of Christ. To me this is the essence of 1 Corinthians 13.
The Lord is releasing the wines of heaven and I believe in this season that many who had hard hearts will crack under the peace and love of Jesus. Pursue God. Pursue His heart. Let the grace of Jesus wash away your hardness and your pain. I understand your pain. I have much of my own. The grace of Jesus is not that He perfects leaders so that they are above the things that you are going through. They are imperfect like you are imperfect. They need God’s grace like you need God’s grace. The way of the Kingdom must be grace, forgiveness, and love.
The way of the world is different. There is a hardness in people’s hearts and there is unforgiveness. Instead of loving those that are unlovely they wound them and malign them which leads to even harder hearts. God help us to be gentle and loving.
I remember once being very hard hearted toward a woman of God so much so that I hurt her and wounded her. She was gracious. I did repent to her and to the board of the church where I hurt her. I pretty much spoke death over her life. Through the years this woman was kind to me. She forgave me and when my ministry began to grow, she even gave money to help me to travel around the world. She and her husband taught me so much about grace and love. I want to be like her. I want to support those that would use me and despitefully hurt me. God give me that heart so that I can love everyone who comes my way.
I pray for you today and ask the Lord to bless you with a kind heart. May the wines of the spirit pour out over you in a fresh way. I declare that you will be a compassionate warrior who loves people simply because God created them and not for what they can do for you. I also pray for myself and ask God to continue to heal my heart that I may be gracious to all who I meet in Jesus’ mighty name.
